Looking ahead to 2017

2016 has been quite a year. Both on the national and global political stage, I am concerned about the dynamics that are unfolding. The Brexit vote this summer was troubling to me, having grown up in the heart of an increasingly united Europe. I continue to be convinced that the way forward for our planet is to build bridges, not burn them; find common ground, rather than be divided by difference; seek to listen and understand, rather than defend our positions. The US election was as disturbing as the Brexit vote, and I end the year convinced of the importance of actively engaging socially, politically and environmentally, and doing so in a way feels authentic and constructive. The question is - how to do this effectively in the face of where we seem to be headed?

My own vision for 2017 is to connect and re-connect with people who are reflecting on their own response to where we find ourselves today, individually, organizationally and as a global community. What are our hopes for 2017 and beyond? How do we move forward in a way that is purposeful, creating a future in which future generations can thrive? What do we stand for as individuals, as families, as organizations? Who are we serving, and what are we collectively enabling? If these are questions you are asking yourself, I would love to hear from you.

Over the past years my work with TOP Consulting has focused on supporting people who want to grow their leadership capacity while aligning their work and life with their passion and purpose. A key element in our work is creating transformative organizational cultures that support the outcomes we are wanting to enable. I also partner with Leaders' Quest, a social enterprise committed to improving the quality and impact of leaders around the world. We design experiential learning journeys that enable people to explore answers to tough questions about business, society and their own leadership.

If you are interested to learn more about how I might be able to support you or your organization as you step into the future, please reach out. I wish you all the very best for 2017.
